Mx. Zein

Hello!

My name is Rachel Zein, and I am an English teacher here at BOYCP. I feel extremely lucky to work with our school's bright, curious, and creative students, and I am always grateful for opportunities to engage with parents and the surrounding community. A little bit about me: I grew up in Texas, and I earned my bachelor’s degree in Spanish from the University of Texas at Austin. More recently, I earned my master’s degree in English Education from UIC.

When I’m not teaching, I love to read, ride my bike around Chicago, make pottery, and spend time with my cat.

Mi nombre es Rachel Zein y soy una maestra de ingles aquí en BOYCP. Me siento tan afortunada de trabajar con los estudiantes brillantes y creativos de BOYCP, y siempre agradezco las oportunidades de conectar con los padres y la comunidad alrededor de la escuela. Un poco sobre mí: crecí en Texas, y me mudé a Chicago hace unos años. Obtuve mi bachillerato en español y mi licenciatura superior en educación con una especialización en inglés.

Algunos de mis pasatiempos incluyen leer, andar en bicicleta a través de Chicago, hacer cerámica, y pasar tiempo con mi gata.
