Daniel Valdez
Hello, I am Daniel Valdez! This is my 7th year teaching here at Back of the Yards College Prep. I was born and raised in the south side of Chicago to Mexican immigrant parents. Along with being first-generation, my sister and I were the first in our family to go to college. I first went to Moraine Valley Community College and then obtained my bachelor's degree at Illinois State University to become a Learning Behavior Specialist.
Outside the classroom, I am a proud husband and father. I host a Chess club and love to play designer board games. I like to stay active, read, watch movies, play paintball, play games, produce media, and spend time with family!
This year I am teaching English II & English III and hosting Chess & Board Game Club!
