Hello! My name is Daniel Sells and this is my fourth year teaching at BOYCP. I graduated from Loyola University Chicago in 2015 with degrees with Secondary Education and History. After college, I taught in Bangkok, Thailand before returning to Chicago and furthering my education at National Louis University for an LBS1 endorsement. I teach US History and Psychology.
My favorite part of teaching at BOYCP is our students. I unequivocally believe in the abilities of all students and I believe each of our students have unique stories, perspectives, and truths that deserve to be heard. I strive to provide opportunities for students to engage in the human experience of the world and community around them, as well as engage and reflect on their own selves as human beings. My goal for my students is that they leave BOYCP with the utmost confidence in their abilities, skills, and sense of self to achieve personal fulfillment in their lives, whether in academics, career, or personal life.
Outside of the classroom, I am passionate about nature, food, and sports. I enjoy exploring forest preserves and learning about the plant and animal life native to our region, cooking all types of new foods, listening to all sorts of music, and watching my beloved sports teams, including the Chicago White Sox, Fire, Bears, Loyola Ramblers basketball, and various soccer leagues from around the world.

¡Hola! Mi nombre es Daniel Sells y este es mi cuarto año enseñando en BOYCP. Me gradué de la Universidad Loyola de Chicago en 2015 con títulos en Educación Secundaria e Historia. Después de la universidad, enseñé en Bangkok, Tailandia, antes de regresar a Chicago y continuar mi educación en la Universidad Nacional Louis para obtener una certificación LBS1. Enseño Historia de los Estados Unidos y Psicología.
Mi parte favorita de enseñar en BOYCP son nuestros estudiantes. Creo inequívocamente en las habilidades de todos los estudiantes y creo que cada uno de nuestros estudiantes tiene historias, perspectivas y verdades únicas que merecen ser escuchadas. Me esfuerzo por brindar oportunidades para que los estudiantes participen en la experiencia humana del mundo y la comunidad que los rodea, así como también participen y reflexionen sobre sí mismos como seres humanos. Mi objetivo para mis estudiantes es que salgan de BOYCP con la máxima confianza en sus habilidades, destrezas y sentido de sí mismos para lograr la realización personal en sus vidas, ya sea en lo académico, profesional o personal.
Fuera del aula, soy un apasionado de la naturaleza, la comida y los deportes. Disfruto explorando reservas forestales y aprendiendo sobre la vida vegetal y animal nativa de nuestra región, cocinando todo tipo de alimentos nuevos, escuchando todo tipo de música y viendo a mis amados equipos deportivos, incluidos los Chicago White Sox, Fire, Bears, Loyola. Ramblers de baloncesto y varias ligas de fútbol de todo el mundo.

在课堂之外，我对自然、食物和运动充满热情。我喜欢探索森林保护区，了解我们地区的动植物，烹饪各种新食物，听各种音乐，观看我心爱的运动队，包括芝加哥白袜队、火队、熊队、洛约拉队漫步者篮球，以及来自世界各地的各种足球联赛。
