Hello! My name is Daniel Sells and this is my sixth year teaching at BOYCP. I graduated from Loyola University Chicago in 2015 with degrees with Secondary Education and History. After college, I taught in Bangkok, Thailand before returning to Chicago and furthering my education at National Louis University for my LBS1 endorsement. I teach US History and Psychology.
My favorite part of teaching at BOYCP is our students. I believe each of our students have unique stories, abilities, perspectives, and truths that deserve to be seen and heard. My goal for my students is that they leave BOYCP with confidence in their abilities, skills, and sense of self to achieve personal fulfillment in their lives, whether in academics, career, or personal life.
Outside of the classroom, I am passionate about nature, food, and sports. I enjoy exploring forest preserves and learning about the plant and animal life native to our region, cooking all types of new foods, listening to all sorts of music, and watching my beloved sports teams, including the Chicago White Sox, Bears, Fire, and Loyola Ramblers basketball.

¡Hola! Mi nombre es Daniel Sells y este es mi sexto año enseñando en BOYCP. Me gradué de la Universidad Loyola de Chicago en 2015 con títulos en Educación Secundaria e Historia. Después de la universidad, enseñé en Bangkok, Tailandia, antes de regresar a Chicago y continuar mi educación en la Universidad Nacional Louis para obtener mi certificación LBS1. Doy clases de Historia de los Estados Unidos y Psicología.
Mi parte favorita de enseñar en BOYCP son nuestros estudiantes. Creo que cada uno de nuestros estudiantes tiene historias, habilidades, perspectivas y verdades únicas que merecen ser vistas y escuchadas. Mi objetivo para mis estudiantes es que se vayan de BOYCP con confianza en sus habilidades, destrezas y sentido de sí mismos para lograr la realización personal en sus vidas, ya sea en el ámbito académico, profesional o personal.
Fuera del aula, me apasiona la naturaleza, la comida y los deportes. Disfruto explorar reservas forestales y aprender sobre la vida vegetal y animal nativa de nuestra región, cocinar todo tipo de alimentos nuevos, escuchar todo tipo de música y ver a mis equipos deportivos favoritos, incluidos los Chicago White Sox, Bears, Fire y Loyola Ramblers de baloncesto.
