About Me
This year will be my sixteenth year of teaching and it will be my eighth at BOYCP. As a founding teacher, I have worked hard to build a comprehensive mathematics program for our students. I LOVE teaching at Back of the Yards! The students and staff are amazing and I feel as though we are one big family! I earned my degree in Mathematics and Education at St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN. In addition to my bachelors degree in Mathematics, I am also a Nation Board Certified Teacher.
My husband and I have two children, ages 12, and 9. When I'm not teaching, I stay busy by keeping up with my kids, family and husband; in a normal year, that would include TONS of soccer and trips to MN to see my family where I am from.
I'll be teaching DP Mathematics Analysis and Approaches Years 1 & 2 to juniors and seniors during the 2020-2021 school year. I can't wait to reconnect with my seniors, whom I taught last year, and to become acquainted with my juniors!
In addition to teaching Mathematics, I also am the BOYCP Varsity Badminton Coach and an Instructional Lead Teacher along with Mathematics Department Chair.
