Advanced Placement

At Back of the Yards College Preparatory High School, we offer students at all grade levels the opportunity to enroll in Advanced Placement (AP) courses, opening up the possibility for students to earn college credit even in the 9th grade! 

 

Taking AP classes gives you a leg up in applying to college. Students who take AP classes can earn college credit, save money, possibly skip introductory level courses in college, and stand out in the college application process.

 

Students who take AP courses develop "time management, critical thinking, scholarly writing—AP courses help you hone the skills you’ll need in college and career."
