This summer, MAPSCorps is offering paid, field researcher internships. Individuals will meet with their team each morning to set goals and assignments, visit your assigned locations across the city of Chicago and use your or a provided smartphone to collect asset data. During the afternoon, you will work with other high school and college students to research the history of your assigned community and analyze the relationships between your team's collected data and other public data sets toward the development of public health policy proposals that might lead to improved health outcomes for historically under-resourced communities. Students will make lifelong friends and learn the research, data science, and community advocacy skills needed for college and career success.
Students who are 16 or older will earn $15/hr.
Students who are 14-15 years old will earn an $850 stipend.
