We find ourselves in another challenging situation.

We are waiting for USCIS (Department of Homeland Security) to announce that they’re taking new DACA applications. We don’t know for sure that they will. However, many immigration agencies (like National Immigrant Justice Center in Chicago) are suggesting that new DACA applicants can try to submit their initial new DACA applications.

If you’re interested in possibly submitting a new DACA application and would like a free consultation to discuss the issues in applying, please attend the event. If you cannot make that day or time, please “like” the Chicago Law and Education Foundation on Facebook, and there we will post additional future days/times.

Here are a few central requirements to be eligible for DACA:

1. Be at least 15 years old and have come to the US before your sixteenth birthday

2. Have lived continuously in the U.S. since June 15, 2007

3. Are currently a student, have graduated from HS, or obtained a certificate of completion from high school, have obtained a general education development (GED) certificate

Bring any friends or family who may be interested. And please wear masks!
