IB LEARNERS OF THE MONTH! - DANIEL & ALEXANDER

Congratulations to Daniel and Alexander, our IB Learners of the Month!

IB learners of the month are students who exemplify the IB learner profile traits as nominated by teachers and coaches. For February the IB learner profile trait was inquirer. According to IB, an "Inquirer" is someone who nurtures their curiosity and has an enthusiasm and love for learning. February’s winners are Junior Daniel Goldsborough and Sophomore Alexander Mora!

According to their teachers, Daniel exemplifies an inquirer through his passion for asking questions that are insightful and show his authentic engagement with what is being learned. The questions Danny asks in class help push forward everyone’s understanding of the materials and brings a great energy to class!

Alexander is always asking questions about topics and content and is adept at linking content learned in class to real-world situations! Alexander pushes himself to learn more about topics on his own time and shares his learning with the class in groups.

Congrats to our IB learners of the month!

TEACHER OF THE MONTH- MR. KHAIRALLAH

Congratulations to Mr. Khairallah who was nominated for Teacher of the Month!

Here are some of the shoutouts he received:

Mr. Khairallah works tirelessly for his students in ways that many don't see. Whether it's staying late after school to build a scientific model, or stepping in to help coach the track team, Mr. Khairallah is always stepping up to help BOYCP students. I don't think I've ever seen Mr. Khairallah leave the school before 5:30 PM; he is also spearheading the new physics curriculum and it is fantastic to see how he has tailored it to our students. Mr. Khairallah is not only a hard worker, but he is always thinking about how we can help prepare our students for success.

Mr. Khairallah is a teacher who goes above and beyond to ensure every student has the support they need to succeed. Known for being fully "locked in" during the school day, Mr. Khairallah regularly dedicates time outside of class to meet with students, offering additional academic guidance and helping them gain confidence in challenging subjects. Beyond the classroom, he is also a passionate cross-country coach, instilling values of perseverance, discipline, and teamwork in student-athletes. Since their start as a student teacher and now as a staff member, he has been a model of consistency, dedication, and compassion.
